Working closely with our clients, our consultants create transparency through scalable financial processes, clean data, and intelligent tools. We provide our clients with teams ranging from junior accountants to CFOs on a project basis or for interim management roles.
In the role of Senior Accountant (internal title: Consultant), you will take on or manage projects for our clients. Working independently or in small teams, you will address accounting-related issues and help ensure that we meet our quality standards.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management: Independently implementing and managing accounting and back-office projects
Accounting & Financial Statements: Handling day-to-day bookkeeping and preparing monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
Interim Role: Taking on project tasks, e.g., as an interim team lead for accounting
Tax & Regulatory Issues: Processing of advance VAT returns, OSS reports, and providing support during tax audits
Optimization & Digitalization: Identification and implementation of efficient finance processes, automation, and appropriate tools
- Stakeholder Management: Collaboration with tax advisors, CFOs, tax authorities, and other relevant parties
- Project-based collaboration with clients: primarily remote, but also on-site as needed
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:Several years of experience in financial and general ledger accounting—preferably at a medium-sized company, a startup, or a consulting firm
A degree or vocational training in business, finance, mathematics, or a related field is an asset, but not required
Excellent knowledge of at least one accounting or ERP system (e.g., DATEV Accounting, SAP, or Business Central) and experience with modern finance tools (e.g., Spendesk, Pleo, Circula...)
Additional qualifications, such as those obtained through continuing education program to become a certified accountant are a plus, but not required
Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, as well as aindependent, structured approach to work with an eye for opportunities for optimization
Experience in process automation and optimization, as well as in the implementation of tools
Strong communication skills in German (approx. C1) and English (approx. B2)
- You're interested in varied project work and want to support clients remotely or on a project-by-project basis, and to a limited extent, on-site as well
