Working closely with our clients, our consultants create transparency through scalable financial processes, clean data, and intelligent tools. We provide our clients with teams ranging from junior accountants to CFOs on a project basis or for interim management roles.

In the role of Accountant (internal title: Senior Associate), you will take on project tasks for our clients. Working independently or in small teams, you will address accounting-related issues and help ensure that we meet our quality standards.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Project Work: Independently managing accounting and back-office projects at startups and SMEs
  • Accounting & Financial Statements: Handling our clients' day-to-day bookkeeping and assisting with monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
  • Processes: Setting up or optimizing processes, automation, and financial tools (spend management, accounts receivable and payable, pre-entry systems, etc.)
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaboration with tax firms, finance departments, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Project-based collaboration with clients: primarily remote, but also on-site as needed


WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
  • You have relevant professional experience in accounting (e.g., as a financial accountant)—preferably at a medium-sized company, a startup, or a consulting firm
  • You are proficient in at least one common accounting or ERP system (e.g., DATEV Accounting, Lexware, SAP, or Business Central / Navision)
  • You're proficient in Excel and Google Sheets and have a strong aptitude for numbers
  • You have very good communication skills in German (approx. C1) and good communication skills in English (at least B1)
  • Ideally, you'll have experience in one of the following areas:
    • Process optimization
    • Implementation of Finance and Accounting Tools
    • Working with pre-entry systems, such as DATEV Unternehmen Online, Spendesk, MOSS, or Finway
  • You're interested in varied project work and want to support clients remotely or on a project-by-project basis, and to a limited extent, on-site as well
